Welcome to the Saanich Peninsula!
If you are a woman, or identify as a woman, you are eager to learn more about your chosen community, get involved in fun activities and meet new friends, Peninsula Newcomers Club is the place for you! Membership is open to any woman who has moved to the Saanich Peninsula within the last three years. The Saanich Peninsula extends from the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal to the southern boundary of Central Saanich, it includes the District of North Saanich; the District of Central Saanich with its the villages of Brentwood Bay and Saanichton; and the municipality of the town of Sidney.
Since 1987 the PNC has helped new arrivals to the Saanich Peninsula settle in to their new community. From regular indoor and outdoor social activites to special functions, we offer something for every taste. So explore these pages and find out how the PNC can help you fall in love with your community and all it has to offer.
The Peninsula Newcomers Club is active from September to June, with many activities continuing through July and August.
We understand that there are ladies who have lived in the area for many years and due to changes in their circumstances have reached a point where they would like to make new friends and social connections within their community. Unfortunately our bylaws stipulate that a person has to have lived less than three years on the peninsula before they can apply for membership. We would run into compliance issues if we accepted someone outside of these regulations. There are other local organizations that help women connect with each other and we recommend you review the information under our 'Community' tab.
